Highlands Residential Mortgage is proud to announce that Josh Hebert, EVP Chief Information Officer / CISO, has been named one of HousingWire’s 2026 Tech Trendsetters.
Now in its eighth year, the HousingWire Tech Trendsetters award recognizes 75 technology leaders across the housing industry who are finding new ways to improve how businesses operate and serve their customers.
For Josh, that work has been a big part of his more than 10 years at Highlands.
Since joining the company, Josh has led a significant evolution in how Highlands approaches technology. From modernizing its core systems and strengthening security to introducing new digital tools and improving the lending experience, his focus has remained consistent: making technology work better for the people who rely on it every day.
More recently, Josh and his team have been focused on bringing artificial intelligence into the mortgage process in practical ways. One example is Highlands Basecamp, the company’s internal AI platform designed to bring information and everyday tools together in one connected workspace. The goal is to reduce time spent navigating systems and give employees more time to focus on their customers.
“Josh has played an important role in helping Highlands become the company we are today,” said Ken Hickman, CEO of Highlands Residential Mortgage. “He’s always looking ahead, but what I appreciate most is that he understands technology is only valuable if it makes a difference for our people and our customers. This recognition is well deserved, and I’m proud of what Josh and his team have accomplished.”
While technology itself has changed considerably over the years, Josh’s approach has remained centered on finding practical solutions, building a strong team, and making sure Highlands has the tools and infrastructure to support its future.
Congratulations to Josh on this well-deserved recognition!
