Highlands Residential Mortgage is excited to welcome David Couch as Branch Manager of our San Antonio – Hill Country branch.
With more than 25 years in the mortgage industry, David brings both leadership experience and a hands-on approach to helping borrowers navigate the homebuying process. He started his career in 1998 as a loan officer assistant and worked his way up to loan officer and branch manager, building a reputation for taking on complex deals and finding solutions when others step away.
David has spent much of his career working closely with homebuilders across Texas. That experience shaped the way he approaches lending. He isn’t afraid of a challenging file, and he enjoys helping clients who may not qualify today create a clear path toward homeownership in the future. His mindset is simple: treat people well, guide them honestly, and build relationships that last.
“David brings a level of experience and leadership that will make a strong impact in the Hill Country market,” said Corey Caster, EVP, National Production. “He knows how to build strong relationships with builders, referral partners, and clients, and he cares deeply about doing right by the people he works with. We’re excited to see the role he plays in continuing to expand our presence in the South Texas market.”
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. Their favorite activities include traveling, fishing, hunting, and making an annual trip to catch a Houston Texans road game together.
David is also deeply involved in giving back. He runs a nonprofit that hosts fishing tournaments out of Port O’Connor, Texas, with proceeds going to local charities and causes. He has supported the Sutherland Springs community through local fundraising efforts and was involved in relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey. Giving back is part of who he is.
Please join us in welcoming David Couch to Highlands Residential Mortgage. We’re excited to have him leading our San Antonio – Hill Country branch and supporting our continued growth in the region.
