Highlands Residential Mortgage was created in 2010 in the midst of uncertainty and rapid change in the mortgage industry. A group of like-minded seasoned veterans came together to create a company with an employee-focused culture. A culture that values its members both personally and professionally and a company built on the idea that the customer comes first! We believe Highlands Residential Mortgage is such a place. Our Mission to value people drives everything we do.

I have over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry. I started in 1998 as a loan officer assistant and worked all the way up the ladder to loan officer and branch manager. I specialist with working with homebuilders all across Texas. The main thing builder business has taught me is not to shy away from a difficult transaction. Also, if clients aren’t able to qualify for a loan now, I enjoy helping them get on track for homeownership in the future. I want every client of mine to be a client for life.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my wife, Jennifer, and our two wonderful children. Our favorite activities are traveling fishing, hunting and attending a Houston Texans football road game each year. I also run a nonprofit that sponsors several annual fishing tournaments out of Port O’Connor, TX. The proceeds of these tounaments go to local charities and causes. My favorite donation was to the Sutherland Springs Baptist Church. We sponsored and hosted a fish fry for the survivors and first responders of the Sutherland Springs church shooting. Another one of my proudest moments happened during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
