Highlands Residential Mortgage was created in 2010 in the midst of uncertainty and rapid change in the mortgage industry. A group of like-minded seasoned veterans came together to create a company with an employee-focused culture. A culture that values its members both personally and professionally and a company built on the idea that the customer comes first! We believe Highlands Residential Mortgage is such a place. Our Mission to value people drives everything we do.

With over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Matt brings a broad and deep understanding of the loan process from multiple perspectives. He began his career as a loan officer, moved into production management, and eventually co-owned a successful mortgage brokerage. Today, he serves as a Production Business Partner, where he supports and collaborates with loan officers and operations teams to drive efficiency, deliver exceptional client service, and help families achieve their homeownership goals. His diverse background has given him a well-rounded approach to solving challenges and building long-term relationships in this ever-evolving industry.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, golfing, and being outdoors. He is also a proud former football player for Sam Houston State University—an experience that taught him the value of teamwork, discipline, and leadership.
