Highlands Residential Mortgage is proud to announce the acquisition of The Equitable Mortgage Corporation, a company that has spent more than three decades building a strong reputation serving clients and real estate partners across Central Ohio, with an additional presence in Southwest Florida.
Founded in 1995, Equitable Mortgage started simply with a small office, a card table, and a commitment to earning every client relationship. Over time, that commitment turned into something much bigger. The team grew, the business expanded, and they became a trusted name in the Columbus market, funding billions in residential loans along the way.
What hasn’t changed is how they approach their work, a focus on service, long-standing relationships, and a belief that doing right by the client is what drives long-term success. That’s what made this a natural fit.
That alignment is something our leadership team has recognized for years. As Corey Caster, EVP, Chief Production Officer shared, “Being from Ohio, I’ve seen the reputation Bruce and his team have built over time. They’ve run a strong, relationship-driven business, and that’s exactly the kind of foundation we look for.”
