SMU Cox School of Business to Recognize Highlands Residential Mortgage at Dallas 100™ Awards

By: Highlands Residential Mortgage

Every year, the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business and its sponsors celebrate the innovative spirit, determination and business savvy of entrepreneurs in the Dallas area. This year, the Dallas 100™ has recognized Highlands Residential Mortgage as one of the top 100 fastest growing, privately held companies in North Texas.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as one of the 100 fastest growing companies by the prestigious SMU Cox School of Business for our contribution to business in Dallas,” said Highlands Residential Mortgage Chairman of the Board and founder Bill Starkey. “This award is a testament to the commitment and dedication of everyone in the company. Having been established just six years ago, we’re very pleased with how far we’ve come in a short time.”

“We started by building an executive team made of individuals with strong character who possessed different strengths. They’ve helped us achieve our mission of providing superior quality service that employees are proud of, customers refer to their family and friends and realtors/builders recommend to their clients,” Starkey said.

To qualify for the Dallas 100™, a company must be an independent, privately held corporation, proprietorship or partnership with headquarters in the Dallas metroplex. The company must also show growth over a three-year sales history growth; had sales of more than $500k, but less than $75 million in the 2013 fiscal year; and have a credit report and character satisfactory to the Dallas 100TM, determined at the sole discretion of the Dallas 100TM.
