Once Again, Highlands Gives Back!!
We participated in a shoe drive for homeless women. The details of the program were:
Can a new pair of shoes really be a life changing experience for a homeless woman? The answer may depend on your point of view. If you are a homeless woman who has to walk everywhere & you carry everything you own in a backpack, a new pair of comfortable (yet stylish) shoes is a real blessing.
We here at Highlands want to make a difference! Please join us in supporting the SoupMobile and the Homeless Women of Dallas by donating a new pair of shoes! We will have boxes placed at the Corporate Office and at participating local branches for dropping off your donation.
Additionally, HRM will provide a match for every donation received!!
Below is the criteria for the shoes.
- Shoes should be ‘BRAND NEW’ women’s walking/tennis shoes in sizes ranging from 4 to 11 (attached is example). Shoes can be any color.
- Wal-Mart has a wonderful collection of these kinds of shoes in a very reasonable price range.
- When you bless a homeless woman with a brand new pair of shoes you bless her heart and at the same time your heart will also be blessed!
